Your Privacy While Using DoPdf

DoPdf is a document scanning and PDF creation tool that lets you scan documents, create and edit PDFs, add signatures and watermarks, generate and read QR codes, and organize your files. This Privacy Policy describes what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

By downloading, installing, or using DoPdf, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

01 — INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Your Documents and Content

DoPdf is designed so that your scanned documents, photos, and PDF files stay on your device. We do not upload, view, or store copies of your scanned documents or created PDFs on our servers.

02 — AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION

Technical, Usage & Advertising Information

When you use DoPdf, certain information is automatically collected by us and our third-party service providers (such as Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, and Google Firebase) to operate the App, show ads, and fix crashes:

• Device information such as device model, operating system version, and language settings.
• App usage information such as features used, screens viewed, and session length.
• Crash logs and diagnostic data (via Firebase Crashlytics) to help us identify and fix bugs.
• Advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) used by our ad partners to show and measure ads.
• Approximate location derived from IP address, used for ad relevance and analytics.
• General app performance and network information.

06 — ADVERTISING & CONSENT

Ads and Your Consent Choices

DoPdf shows ads to keep the free version of the App available. Where required by applicable law (such as GDPR in the EEA/UK or similar regulations elsewhere), we present a consent form when you first open the App, allowing you to choose whether personalized ads may be shown to you.

You can subscribe to DoPdf Pro to remove ads entirely. You may also manage ad personalization at the device level through your Android device's Google Settings > Ads.

07 — DATA SECURITY

How Your Documents Stay Protected

Your scanned documents, PDFs, and app-lock credentials are stored locally on your device using Android's built-in storage and security mechanisms. We do not maintain a server that stores your document content.

While we take reasonable measures to work with reputable third-party providers, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information handled by third-party services (such as ad networks or crash reporting).

08 — DATA RETENTION & DELETION

How Long Information Is Kept

Your documents, scans, and PDFs remain on your device until you delete them within the App or uninstall the App, at which point they are removed from your device (subject to your device's own backup settings, such as Android auto-backup).

Crash logs and analytics data collected by third-party services are retained according to those providers' own retention policies, typically for a limited period necessary for diagnostic purposes.

09 — YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have the right to:

• Delete your scanned documents and PDFs at any time directly within the App.
• Disable app-lock or clear your PIN/biometric settings within the App.
• Manage or withdraw ad-personalization consent through the in-app consent form or your device's ad settings.
• Cancel your DoPdf Pro subscription at any time through Google Play's subscription settings.
• Request information about how your information is processed by contacting us.
• Uninstall the App at any time, which removes locally stored app data from your device.

These rights may be subject to limitations and exceptions under applicable laws and regulations.

10 — CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

DoPdf and Children

DoPdf is a general productivity tool and is not directed at or designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action, including deletion of such information.

11 — POLICY UPDATES

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features, our practices, or legal requirements.

When changes are made, the updated policy will be published on this page along with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically, and material changes may also be notified within the App.
